Our Vision
In 1988 the Lord gave Pastor Darrell Harrelson a vision for developing a ministry in
the High Desert of Southern California. The following information represents the
vision as given at the time and also reflects subsequent revelation of the vision. The
ministry is to be a lighthouse to a lost and dying High Desert. The ministry will be
known as "An Oasis of Faith and Love in the High Desert!" "Helping You Prosper
and Live a Victorious Life!"
The primary purpose of this ministry is to teach the uncompromised Word of God,
and to proclaim the "Good News" of Jesus Christ. Our aim is to minister by precept
and example, teaching the Body of Christ to walk in victory and to adopt a lifestyle
beyond reproach.
Our vision is for a Church of born-again, spirit filled believers that would be
governed by the principles and doctrine in God's Word. This Church would, in it's
growth, operate within Biblical principles instructing all people in the Word, so that
they would learn how to rise from burned-out hopes and faulty lifestyles, using
clearly defined and enlightened precepts of faith, accept and enjoy the privileges
and promises God has for them through Jesus Christ. All of us working together
play important roles in addressing the dynamic challenges of this growing ministry,
and meeting the spiritual needs of the ones God sends.
In establishing Oasis of Faith Christian Center, and in obedience to our Lord Jesus
Christ, intent and objective in submission to our Heavenly Father. We shall,
therefore, endeavor to maintain the integrity of this ministry so that it will, through
it's Biblical teachings, schools, television, and all other ministries remain above
reproach and transparent to the world.
Let us continually strive to achieve the same kind of love and compassions to all
people, faithfulness, strength, truthfulness, self-control, patience, and motivation for
service, which is displayed by our "Great Example Setter," the Lord Jesus Christ!

Our Statement of Faith
In the Triune God... God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost
(Spirit).
That Jesus Christ is true God and true man.
That the Old and New Testaments are God's divinely inspired Word.
That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of
salvation.
That salvation has been provided for all through Jesus Christ.
That it is the will of God for every believer to be filled with the Holy Ghost
(Spirit) with the evidence of speaking with other tongues.
That healing is provided in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and is
available to every believer.
That the Church consists of all those who have received Jesus Christ as
their personal Savior and Lord.
That there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and unjust.
In water baptism and observance of the Lord's Supper (Communion).
That it is the will of God for every believer to prosper and be in health even
as the soul prospers.
